Horwath HTL was engaged to oversee the complete development process for a Moxy Hotel in Switzerland, providing expertise from the initial feasibility stage through operator search, planning and construction support, and the hotel’s opening. The project was designed to align with the brand’s youthful, dynamic concept while meeting market demands and achieving the client’s investment objectives.

The engagement began with a detailed feasibility study, assessing the market’s potential and identifying key demand drivers for the Moxy brand. This analysis included competitive benchmarking and an evaluation of local and regional trends in the hospitality sector. Recommendations were tailored to the brand’s positioning, focusing on the optimal room count, amenities, and services to attract the target audience. Financial projections, including revenue forecasts and return on investment scenarios, provided a solid foundation for decision-making.

Horwath HTL conducted an operator search to identify and negotiate with operators whose expertise and vision aligned with the project. This process culminated in a management agreement with Marriott International, ensuring the property’s integration into the Moxy portfolio. Contract negotiations focused on securing terms favourable to the client while adhering to brand standards and operational requirements.

During the planning and construction phase, Horwath HTL provided ongoing support, advising on design elements, operational workflows, and compliance with brand guidelines. This ensured that the project remained on track, both in terms of timeline and alignment with Moxy’s distinctive brand identity. Collaboration with architects, contractors, and project managers was key to maintaining quality and consistency.

Horwath HTL continued to support the client through the pre-opening and launch phases, ensuring a smooth transition into operations. The result was a vibrant, on-brand Moxy Hotel that successfully met market expectations and positioned itself as a competitive player in Switzerland’s hospitality landscape.
