Module 003 · Go deeper

Research you can check, knowledge that stays

Duration

4 hours

Format

Half day, on-site

Audience

Anyone who gets asked for a recommendation with evidence behind it

About the module

Hotels depend on two forms of knowledge: reliable intelligence from outside the organisation and operational expertise held within it. AI can accelerate access to both, but only when teams know how to find the right evidence, verify what they receive, and ground AI in trusted hotel information. In this hands-on workshop, participants work in pairs to conduct AI-augmented research and build a working hotel knowledge assistant using accessible, off-the-shelf tools.

Who it is for

Anyone who gets asked for a recommendation with evidence behind it, and anyone who holds knowledge the rest of the team keeps interrupting them for, from department heads to the teams they lead.

Learning objective

Run a structured research workflow to a recommendation you can defend, build a document-grounded knowledge assistant on your own hotel’s pages, and choose the right tier for your property.

Bring this module to your team

Tell us who would be in the room and what they work on. We will suggest how to run it, on its own or with other modules.

What you will do

Scope a research question around the decision it has to serve

Gather evidence across sources, and judge each one on independence rather than tone

Move from evidence to finding to implication without skipping the middle step

Treat challenging a conclusion as a separate job from checking its facts

State a recommendation with its confidence and its largest remaining uncertainty

Build a knowledge assistant on your own hotel’s published pages inside an hour

Break it on purpose, and publish what it can and cannot be trusted with

Choose between an AI workspace, a no-code assistant and a full build

Lessons

Section 003-1 · 120 min

AI-Augmented Research: From Question to Decision

Watch a confident research answer come apart under scrutiny, then rebuild it properly. Each stage is taught, demonstrated live on a hotel commission, then run by each pair on a decision of their own, through Frame, Gather, Evaluate, Synthesise, Challenge and Deliver. Challenge means attacking your own conclusion before an owner does.

You leave with: A recommendation on your own question that survived your own challenge, with its confidence and largest uncertainty stated.

Section 003-2 · 90 min

From Institutional Memory to a Working Knowledge Assistant

Start from a working assistant answering, refusing and disclosing live, ask it your own questions, then build one. Four stages, each taught and then run in pairs: Scope, Curate, Load and Test, on a niche of your own hotel’s published pages. Closes on the buy-versus-build tiers and the maintenance nobody quotes for.

You leave with: A working assistant on your own hotel’s pages, a failure log, published trust boundaries, and a tier choice.

What you leave with

A research workflow and its templates

Frame, Gather, Evaluate, Synthesise, Challenge and Deliver, with the brief, the source-evaluation frame and the claim-verification checklist.

Hotel knowledge-assistant toolkit

Hands-on experience building and testing a document-grounded AI assistant on your own hotel’s published pages, with its answer log, failure log and trust boundaries written down.

A tier decision for your property

Workspace, no-code assistant or full build, and the route to getting one: a champion, your IT team or an implementation partner.

How we tailor it

Research questions are drawn from decisions the team is facing now.

The knowledge assistant is built on the property’s own pages, standard operating procedures and documents.

Tools are matched to what the organisation already licenses.
