Strategic Advice for Tourist Attraction Lodging

Horwath HTL was hired by a nationally recognized tourist attraction in order to assist them with the selection of optimal on-site hotel and lodging components as part of the 5-year plan and long-term strategy.

Project Scope

We were engaged to provide strategic advice for a lodging development adjacent to a prominent tourist attraction. The client aimed to enhance the visitor experience while generating a sustainable revenue stream and aligning with the attraction’s branding and operational goals.

The project commenced with a thorough analysis of the attraction’s visitor demographics, including profiles, preferences, and spending habits. Our team also examined regional accommodation trends, identifying gaps in the market and opportunities for differentiation. This research informed our understanding of how a lodging facility could best complement the existing attraction.

A key focus of our work was assessing the feasibility of various lodging concepts, ranging from boutique hotels to eco-friendly cabins. We evaluated each option against criteria such as target market fit, operational complexity, and potential profitability. This involved conducting site assessments, financial modelling, and competitive benchmarking to ensure recommendations were grounded in practical and economic considerations.
