Feasibility Study for Haevichi Hotel & Resort
Horwath HTL was retained on a Feasibility study comprising of site analysis, competitive hotel market study, facilities recommendation and prospective financial analysis.
Project Scope
Our consultancy was engaged to provide comprehensive services for the development of Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju, a luxury leisure complex located on the eastern coast of Jeju Island, South Korea. The objective was to establish a premier destination that harmoniously blends modern amenities with the island’s pristine natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
We began with an in-depth market analysis to assess the competitive landscape and identify target demographics. This involved evaluating local and international tourism trends, competitor offerings, and potential market gaps. The insights gained informed the development of a unique value proposition for the resort.
Collaborating closely with the client and architectural teams, we contributed to the design and layout of the resort’s 288 hotel rooms and 215 resort rooms, ensuring they featured eco-friendly designs and state-of-the-art amenities. Emphasis was placed on creating spacious accommodations, with 70 percent of guest rooms offering ocean views to enhance guest comfort and relaxation.
Our team devised a comprehensive operational strategy encompassing service standards, staffing requirements, and training programmes. We focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences, with protocols established for personalised services and meticulous attention to detail.
In terms of amenities, we provided guidance on the development of the resort’s eight restaurants and bars, including a French fine dining restaurant and a sushi & sukiyaki omakase, to offer diverse culinary journeys. We also advised on the creation of leisure facilities such as the year-round heated swimming pool, children’s facilities, a spa with professional therapists, and a games arcade, aiming to enhance guest satisfaction and encourage longer stays.
To support the resort’s market positioning, we formulated a targeted marketing and branding strategy. This included identifying key distribution channels, developing promotional campaigns, and establishing partnerships with local tour operators to offer curated experiences that showcase nearby attractions, such as the Jeju Folk Village and various Olle Trails.
Throughout the project, we ensured that all developments adhered to sustainable practices and complied with local regulations. This approach not only minimised environmental impact but also resonated with the growing segment of eco-conscious travellers.
The successful completion of this project underscored our capability to deliver integrated consultancy services that align operational excellence with cultural authenticity, thereby enhancing the resort’s appeal in a competitive market.
