Ahmad brings a strong academic foundation from institutions such as KFUPM, Harvard, and INSEAD, and has built a respected career in strategic leadership and public sector transformation.
He has held significant roles across key Saudi institutions, including the Saudi Telecom Company, the Communications and Information Technology Commission, and the Saudi General Authority for Investment, where he served as Deputy Governor. Most recently, he served as Deputy Minister for Strategic Planning and Business Intelligence at the Ministry of Tourism, where he played a central role in shaping the sector’s development.
Currently, Ahmad serves on the board of Jeddah Airports Company and is involved with several other initiatives, including Air Connectivity, the Al Baha and Northern Border Strategy Offices, the Medical Tourism Council, and the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, where he contributes as a Steering Committee member.
Ahmad is known for his practical leadership approach, with a focus on organizational transformation, innovation, and good governance. He has strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working across both national and international platforms. His expertise spans market analysis, data-driven planning, project execution, and team development, all underpinned by a commitment to building positive, high-performing workplace cultures.
