Market Report: Cape Verde
By on February 5, 2018
With its long sandy beaches and its rich natural, cultural and historical heritage, as well as its strategic location at the crossroads of Europe, Africa and South America, Cape Verde benefits from a strong tourism potential, reports the Horwath HTL West & Central Africa team.
The Cape Verdean tourism sector is currently becoming increasingly structured, driven by the arrival of international hotel groups and tour operators. Sal and Boa Vista are currently positioned as the country’s main destinations. However, Santiago and Sao Vincente’s growing influences are led by the diversification of hotel offerings and consequently the diversification of targeted clientele. New development opportunities are thus emerging in the country as investors and operators gain interest in the destination.
