Horwath HTL Expert Andrew Cohan Speaks at Fall 2016 Conferences

Off the heels of his recent presentation at the September Crittenden’s Real Estate Finance Conference in Miami, Horwath HTL hospitality expert Andrew Cohan has announced that he will moderate two additional panel discussions at Latin American and Caribbean industry events in November. First, a panel focused on the challenges faced by first-time hotel developers in the Caribbean region will take place at the Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference & Operations Summit (CHICOS). CHICOS will be held November 10-11, 2016 at the Ritz Carlton San Juan in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico.

At the September Crittenden conference, Cohan addressed how to establish a hospitality development plan that enhances equity and financing opportunities. His commentary included discussion of building a proper plan composed of eight critical components that potential lenders and investors, as well as hotel operating companies, typically want to see. Such a complete offering package anticipates and answers most questions, giving the project a competitive edge over other projects being considered by these parties. Also on the panel were representatives of Legacy Global Development and CM&D, a construction management and development company based in New York, with whom Cohan has collaborated on several resort projects in recent years. At CHICOS, Cohan will share his hospitality development know-how and resort and luxury hotel expertise, as he moderates Guide to First-time Hotel Development Projects. Cohan and his fellow panelists will discuss the challenges, requirements and essentials of what needs to be done to successfully develop a resort project in the region.

Following the CHICOS Conference, Andrew will be heading to Bogota, where he has been invited to speak at the Latin America Hotel and Resort Expansion Forum, sponsored by Procolombia and taking place on November 17th and 18th. The discussion will focus on hotel brands securing and maintaining market share in Latin America. In addition to Andrew, panelists are:
