Farm-To-Table Boutique Hotel Strategy
Located on a 600-hectare estate in the municipality of Alandroal, next to the Alqueva dam, this project combines sustainability and hospitality by proposing the creation of a self-sustaining boutique hotel.
Set in an environment of regenerative farming and livestock production based on permaculture, the hotel will be a place where people and nature can connect.
The concept centres on farm-to table gastronomy, an atelier of locally produced artisanal organic products, and immersive experiences that promote well-being and an appreciation of life in the countryside.
Project Scope
The Farm-to-Table Boutique Hotel in Alentejo is an innovative project set on a 600-hectare estate in the municipality of Alandroal, near the Alqueva dam. This unique development combines sustainability and luxury hospitality, creating a self-sustaining boutique hotel that celebrates the region’s agricultural traditions and natural beauty.
The concept is designed to integrate seamlessly with its surroundings, using sustainable building practices and locally sourced materials to reflect the essence of Alentejo. The hotel’s architecture and landscaping aim to blend modern design with the rustic charm of the region, offering guests a tranquil and authentic experience.
A central feature of the project is its farm-to-table philosophy, with much of the hotel’s culinary offerings sourced directly from its on-site organic farm. Guests will enjoy seasonal, locally grown produce, meats, and wines, providing a gastronomic experience deeply rooted in the flavours and traditions of Alentejo. This connection to the land is further enriched by interactive experiences, such as cooking classes, guided farm tours, and wine tastings.
