Hotel Management Agreement Review

Our Client had identified a suitable hotel management company to brand, manage and market his mid-scale hotel in Kitwe.

Before concluding the management agreement, our office was requested to review and comment on the content of the draft hotel management agreement.

Project Scope

Horwath HTL was engaged to review and provide feedback on a draft hotel management agreement for a mid-scale hotel in Kitwe. The client had identified a hotel management company to brand, manage, and market the property and sought our expertise to ensure the agreement supported their strategic goals and protected their interests.

Our work began with a detailed assessment of the agreement’s terms and conditions. This included analyzing management fees, performance-based incentives, and the scope of services to confirm alignment with industry standards and the client’s operational objectives. Clauses governing contract duration, termination rights, and dispute resolution were scrutinized to provide flexibility and safeguard the client against potential challenges.

We also reviewed the financial arrangements and operational benchmarks outlined in the agreement, ensuring the terms were equitable and that the management company’s performance obligations were clearly defined and measurable. This comprehensive evaluation ensured the agreement fostered accountability and supported the client’s vision for the hotel’s success.

Through our recommendations, we helped refine the agreement to balance the client’s requirements with practical operational considerations, setting a foundation for the property’s effective management and future growth under the selected management company.
