About the module

Most people get something useful from Claude, and few get it reliably. This masterclass fixes that on the work that fills their week. It starts by mapping a workflow, a feasibility study, an owner’s report or a group sales proposal, and agreeing its stages. Then it takes each stage in turn at three levels: a quick prompt in chat or Cowork that anyone can use today, a Project or Skill people set up for themselves, and a shared system built for the whole team. The work is done on real material people bring, so what they build keeps working after the session. For one team, everyone works the same workflow together; for a mixed group, each step is shown once and then applied by each person to their own.

Who it is for

People who already use Claude, but not yet reliably. Usually one team that shares a workflow; the session also runs for a mixed group, each person on their own workflow. Each participant brings a laptop with Claude and Cowork installed and their email and files connected, checked the week before, and a recent real example of the workflow, cleared under their organisation’s AI policy. A prepared example pack covers anyone who cannot bring their own.

Learning objective

Map a workflow you run every week, then work through it stage by stage on Claude on your own material, at three levels, from a prompt anyone can use today, to a Project or Skill you set up for yourself, to a shared system built for the whole team. Delivered on Claude; a version for another tool is built on request.

What you will do

Map how you actually run one workflow, and where people and projects differ

Try a quick option in chat or Cowork for every stage of it, on your own material

Let Cowork read a folder of your documents and list what they answer and what is missing

Draft and cross-check part of the output with a source on every number, then review it in Word

Turn a task you repeat into a Skill of your own that runs the same way every time

Move finished content into slides with Claude in PowerPoint or Claude Design

Decide whether a shared system for the workflow would help, and what it needs

Map the Workflow

Two or three people, picked beforehand, show how they already use Claude. Then the line: what the organisation allows into Claude, on one slide. Everyone writes down the steps of the workflow in silence, the stages are revealed one at a time with the room predicting what comes next, and the map is built live in Claude on the screen. The room votes on which stages cost the most time; those get the most time in the rest of the session. In a mixed group, the map is shown on a demo workflow and each person then maps their own, checked with a neighbour doing similar work.

You leave with: A stage map, and the session weighted to where the pain is.

40 min

Gather and Research

The early stages, where a request and a pile of documents become a clear list of what is known and what is missing. Cowork reads a folder of the participant’s own documents and reports what they answer; research runs with every source opened and checked; the organisation’s own data comes in through a connector or a Project.

You leave with: A gap list and a sourced research note on your own example.

40 min

Draft and Check

The middle stages, where the content gets written. Claude reconciles data exports and finds what does not match, drafts part of the output from notes and figures with a source on every number, and reviews in Word with tracked changes. The conclusions and the judgement that comes from experience stay with the person.

You leave with: A drafted, cross-checked piece of your own output, and a Project that carries your own structure and voice.

50 min

Build Your Own Skill

The centre of the session. Everyone picks one task they repeat in their workflow and writes it as a Skill, with the facilitator and the room helping, then runs it on their own example. Some finish one and some do not; everyone sees how a task done by hand becomes one that runs the same way every time.

You leave with: A Skill of your own, finished or well on the way.

30 min

Produce the Output

From approved content to the deck or report, without the formatting grind: a section into slides with Claude in PowerPoint, and the same content through Claude Design with the organisation’s own design system.

You leave with: Slides built from your own content, in the house style.

30 min

Close the Loop

What went wrong on the last job and what to change, written back into the Project instructions or the Skill so the next one is better. For one team, a shared system for the whole workflow, Skills for every stage built centrally, is shown and the room answers a short set of questions: would you use it, for which stages, and what must stay with the person. In a mixed group, each person shows one thing they built and says what a shared system would need in their own team.

You leave with: Your Skill and Project improved by one round, and a verdict on a shared system.

What you leave with

An agreed workflow map

The stages of the workflow, with the differences between people and projects recorded rather than smoothed over. For one team, one map agreed in the room; for a mixed group, a map of your own.

A quick option for every stage

A prompt in chat or Cowork that helps with each stage today, tried on your own material.

A start on your own Skill

One repeat task from your own work written as a Skill and run on your own example, finished or well on the way.

A stage guide to keep

After the session, the map and the quick options for each stage, written up and packaged as a Skill the team can use whenever the workflow starts again.

How we tailor it

One team, the default: built around one workflow the team chooses beforehand, worked on one real example from the organisation’s own work.

Mixed group: each participant brings their own workflow and a real example of it. Every step is shown once on a demo, then applied by each person to their own, with people doing similar work seated together. Larger groups, or more than three kinds of workflow, take a second facilitator.

Shaped by a short survey beforehand: how people use Claude today, the workflow each will bring, and confirmation that their example is cleared under their organisation’s AI policy. A prepared example pack covers anyone who cannot bring their own.

Skills the organisation has already built for the workflow are shown at the close and put to the team for feedback.

Taught on Claude. A version for another tool, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Gemini, is built on request.
