Bio
Her role is of particular importance in terms of the company's market presence in Western Australia, while also encompassing leadership and participation in assignments in Australia, New Zealand, and the North Pacific. Martyna's areas of expertise include feasibility assessments, branding and positioning strategies, and the selection of operators.
In her role, she engages in comprehensive market research, supply and demand analysis, and concept development, collaborating closely with investors and owners to align projects with market conditions and optimize their potential. Additionally, Martyna oversees the operator search and selection processes, ensuring the success of hospitality developments.
Martyna has considerable experience of the hospitality industry, having worked in both Poland and Australia. Prior to joining Horwath HTL, she was employed in a variety of roles within the hospitality industry, including event management, sales and revenue management, business development, and client relations, with both independent hotels and global hotel brands. She has been employed by Horwath HTL for the past six years, initially based in the Sydney office before relocating to Perth.
In addition to her consultancy work, Martyna is a casual lecturer at Torrens University and Kaplan Business School, where she teaches hotel investment and destination and visitor management. Furthermore, she engages in research on destination competitiveness in regional areas, thereby contributing to the development of master planning and tourism strategies in remote locations.
Martyna holds a Master of Philosophy in Tourist Destination Competitiveness from Torrens University in Sydney, a Master's degree in International Hotel Management from Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Wroclaw, Poland. She has also earned several industry certifications, including the Certification in Advanced Hospitality and Tourism Analytics (CAHTA), the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA), the eCornell Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management Certificate, and the Change Management Foundation Examination.
