The Mota-Engil Group, through its ME Capital division, sought to redefine its tourism development strategy with the aim of strengthening its presence in the Portuguese hotel market. The project involved strategic consultancy for the repositioning of two existing hotel operations and the development of two new hotel projects, with the aim of optimising the value of the assets and aligning the operations with the latest trends in the sector.
Project Scope
We were engaged to develop a strategic development plan for the Mota-Engil Group, focusing on identifying opportunities for growth and aligning their operations with long-term business objectives. This involved a comprehensive analysis of the group’s existing activities, market position, and the broader economic and industry landscape.
The process began with a detailed review of the Mota-Engil Group’s core business areas, operational capabilities, and competitive advantages. We conducted in-depth research into market trends, emerging opportunities, and potential challenges within the sectors and regions where the group operates. This provided a clear understanding of the external factors influencing the business.
