As a tourism consultant, Călin actively engages in discussions on the future of hospitality from a real estate perspective, offering solutions grounded in European trends and recent projects in Romania.

Beyond consultancy, he contributes to the industry’s evolution through his writings in leading hospitality publications, addressing key challenges and providing insights into market dynamics. He is also deeply involved in promoting tourism destinations and supporting hospitality workforce education.

Călin’s commitment to the sector is reflected in his leadership roles within professional associations. After serving for eight years as President of the Romanian Hotel Industry Federation (FIHR), he was elected Honorary President—a testament to the trust and respect he has earned. Additionally, he serves as Vice President of Concordia Employers’ Confederation, one of Romania’s largest business confederations.

A strong advocate for responsible tourism, Călin led the CSR initiatives of the Accor hotel group in Romania from 2015 to 2018. During this time, he supported significant projects, including **Plant for the Planet**, which resulted in the planting of over three million trees in Transylvania’s forests.
