Horwath HTL Spain was engaged to provide a critical analysis of the proposed hotel prior to its construction in order to assist the owners and developers in achieving optimal positioning in Spain's legendary Priorat wine country.

Horwath HTL Spain provided independent advice focused on helping the developers to position the hotel as a premier destination for high-end travelers seeking immersive experiences centred around well-being and gastronomy, taking advantage of the growing trend for luxury lifestyle hospitality in Spain.

Our study focused on the luxury hospitality sector in Spain and globally, to identify the target audience and gauge demand for the proposed offering in this singular destination. We assessed the region’s unique selling points, such as its long wine-making history, natural beauty, and the growing appeal of rural tourism in Spain.

Key elements of the study included a thorough evaluation of potential guest profiles, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
In addition, we provided strategic recommendations for the design and concept of the hotel, ensuring it aligned with the luxury market’s expectations of exclusivity, privacy, and bespoke experiences. The result offered the client valuable guidance for successfully launching this hotel with its affiliation to Relais & Chateaux.
