Horwath HTL USA Announces New Hires and Promotions for Atlanta and Miami Offices

Horwath HTL Americas’ Managing Directors Paul Breslin and Andrew Cohan recently announced the appointment of new hires and an associate promotion in their Atlanta and Miami consulting teams, respectively.
Horwath HTL Atlanta – Paul Breslin welcomed Oliver Tang to the Horwath HTL Atlanta office. Oliver is a recent graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration and a minor in Real Estate. At Cornell, he was co-founder of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) student chapter.
Oliver has varied work experience in the hospitality industry, including positions in operations, market analysis, asset management, and development feasibility study. He began his career as a front desk agent in Tibet. A brief stint with the hotel advisory and overseas investment teams of Jones Lang LaSalle in Beijing enabled him to participate in several development feasibilities studies, market research assignments and an overseas hotel acquisition.
Breslin also announced the promotion of Ms. Elizabeth Beliakova, who joined Horwath HTL in February 2014 as consultant. Elizabeth has been assisting the Horwath HTL Atlanta office with asset management, financial analysis, hotel development, market studies, revenue management, and sales and marketing strategies. Prior to her time at Horwath, Elizabeth worked at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta where she was able to get comprehensive operations experience. Elizabeth is certified in Real Estate Financial Modeling (REFM), as well as in Food Safety from the Training Achievement Program Series.
“Oliver will certainly bring the voice of the millennial into our industry expertise, to helping us as we continue to work with emerging leaders, owners and developers,” states Breslin. “ And we are proud of the insights and knowledge that Elizabeth has demonstrated in her short time here. Horwath HTL Miami – Andrew Cohan announced the addition of Marco Roca, Jr. to his Miami consulting office. Marco is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia Honors Program, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and International Political Economy. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was one of only 10 fully funded research scholars in his graduating class. During his time at the University of Georgia, Marco was able to study and work abroad in Spain, China, Antarctica, Australia, and Oxford, England. He most recently was an investment-banking intern with J.P. Morgan. He is fluent in Spanish, proficient in French and Portuguese, and is a tri-citizen of the United States, Mexico, and France.
Marco’s consulting expertise has been guided by his various prestigious leadership experiences including service as: president of the Honors College; President of the Blue Key Honor Society at the University of Georgia; editor-in-chief of the Georgia Political Review; and founder of Essay Busters: Athens, a charity to help underprivileged high school students navigate the college admissions process.
Says Cohan, “I look forward to Marco’s role and efforts in our consultancy. As we continue to take on assignments in Central America and the Caribbean, Marco’s multi-cultural and multi-lingual background will be of great value for our clients.”
