AP Sustainability Trends 2018

The third Asia Pacific Sustainability Data Trends 2018 Report is now live!

The hotel industry is poised to move into a next phase of sustainability, where new technology, innovative programs, and solutions needed to solve climate change become more widespread across the region’s portfolio and pipeline. Next generation best practices such as renewable energy and water recycling are still nascent in the region, but we see the trend toward them.

Produced together with our friends at Greenview, the dataset used in the Report includes 2,282 hotels across 13 countries. The Report highlights key trends in usage and cost for both energy and water categories. It also includes top trending operational best practices. These key findings serve as an indicator of how well a country is doing in terms of implementing sustainability throughout the different areas of hotel operations. Greenview supports hospitality organizations with their corporate responsibility and sustainability platforms to drive profitability, streamline data management, keep up with trends and provide effective communications for their stakeholders by leveraging the power of data, common guidelines, best practices, and innovation.
