Project Scope

Our team has been privileged to support Maistra, a leading hospitality company operating 10 high-quality hotels, 8 tourist resorts, and 6 camps in the picturesque destinations of Rovinj and Vrsar, Istria. Together, these properties accommodate nearly 34,000 guests, representing approximately 5% of Croatia’s tourism results and over 15% of Istria’s.

The project aimed to enhance Maistra’s company-wide return on investment (ROI) while establishing international competitiveness across its diverse brands. To achieve this, we collaborated closely with the management team to implement a strategic transformation. This included the development of international benchmarks tailored to Maistra’s operations and the creation of a robust four-year business plan designed to guide their growth and innovation.

Since 2011, the results have been striking. Significant improvements in operational performance and quality standards have been achieved, contributing to the stabilisation and growth of the company. The implementation of international best practices and strategic planning has ensured that Maistra remains agile in a highly competitive market, elevating its reputation as a top-tier hospitality provider.

Our relationship with Maistra extends beyond the initial phases of strategic planning. We have continued to offer strategic and operational support to sustain the company’s momentum, guiding further improvements and fostering long-term growth. Today, Maistra stands as a benchmark for success in the region, delivering exceptional hospitality experiences while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and financial performance.

The goal was to increase company-wide ROI and achieve international competitiveness across all their brands. In order to facilitate the change required internally, we supported Maistra in their strategic development by working with the existing management team to create effective international benchmarks combined with a strategic business plan over a 4-year period.
