Project Scope

Horwath HTL conducted a detailed market analysis and financial feasibility study to support the business planning efforts of a client evaluating an incomplete eco-lodge project near Nyungwe National Park. The project, situated adjacent to a tea plantation, was assessed to determine its potential returns under two scenarios: maintaining the current development parameters or implementing modifications to optimize the project’s appeal and performance.

Our analysis, grounded in extensive market research, examined local and regional tourism trends, competitive positioning, and demand drivers for eco-lodge accommodations. The study provided a comparative financial assessment of the original project versus an alternative development strategy, factoring in construction costs, operational efficiencies, and market-driven enhancements.

The findings offered actionable recommendations, enabling the client to make an informed decision on whether to stay the course or adapt the project parameters to maximize return on investment while ensuring alignment with the eco-tourism ethos and sustainable development goals of the Nyungwe National Park region.
