Horwath HTL Announce New Offices to Cover Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Date: July 5, 2021

Horwath HTL, the global leader in hospitality consulting announced the launch of a brand-new practice covering the key markets of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

This new enterprise is the brainchild of Prof. Dr. Christian Buer, owner of Nemis, Brigitte T. Gruber, founder of Reburg & Partners, and Heinz Wehrle, Managing Partner of Horwath HTL Switzerland, who are joining forces to form Horwath HTL, DACH.

This multinational alliance brings together three leading experts, who have more than 70 years of professional experience in international hospitality. Horwath HTL DACH will focus its services on Hotel Planning & Destination Development, Hotel Asset Management, Hotel & Resort Valuation, and Tourism & Leisure.

The references of those involved include major industry players such as Hilton International, Steigenberger Hotel AG, Marriott, and Mandarin Oriental, as well as start-ups and family businesses. Horwath HTL DACH consulting services are based on the extensive, international network of Horwath HTL,  as well as the long-term industry experience of the partners, Prof. Dr. Christian Buer, Brigitte T. Gruber, and Heinz Wehrle, who have successfully completed more than 250 projects over the last few years.

With the merger, we combine our individual know-how and can offer our clients future-oriented, tailor-made advisory services from a single source., said Brigitte T. Gruber, Managing Partner, Austria.

Our ambition is to set goals together with our customers, to develop solutions, and to pursue them by joining forces. We differentiate success individually and want to be profitable together with our clients, said Prof. Dr. Christian Buer, Managing Partner, Germany.

The pandemic had a strong impact on the hotel real estate market in the DACH region. With this merger, we have the opportunity to capture such changing needs across three countries, and develop solution approaches for the entire German-speaking region, said Heinz Wehrle, Managing Partner, Switzerland.

For us, the DACH region is one of the most diverse and significant tourism regions in Europe. As a globally active brand, it is therefore important to find a consistent approach in these three countries to be able to offer top-level services and expertise – this is exactly what this new team formation enables us to do, explains James Chappell, Global Business Director, Horwath HTL Global.

Each office is represented by Senior Directors and teams who will maintain their own local web presence, whilst sharing resources and expertise to cover the entire market.
