Project Scope
Horwath HTL Spain was commissioned by the Asociación Empresarial de Hoteles to undertake a comprehensive Hotel Infrastructure Study. The objective of this engagement was to assess the current state of hotel infrastructure within the region, identify key challenges and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to support strategic development and investment decisions for the hotel sector.
The study encompassed a detailed evaluation of the existing hotel stock, including an analysis of the distribution, classification, and operational performance of properties across various market segments. This assessment extended to examining occupancy rates, average daily rates, revenue per available room, and other critical performance metrics to benchmark the region’s hotels against national and international standards.
In addition to operational metrics, the study included an infrastructure gap analysis, highlighting areas where improvements or new developments were needed to enhance the region’s competitiveness. This involved assessing the adequacy of supporting infrastructure such as transportation links, utilities, and tourism-related facilities. The impact of these factors on the attractiveness of the destination to various traveler segments, from leisure to business tourism, was a focal point.
Horwath HTL Spain engaged with industry stakeholders, including hotel operators, developers, and local government bodies, to gather insights and align the recommendations with the region’s broader tourism strategy. The findings and strategic recommendations provided a robust foundation for informed decision-making, aimed at optimizing hotel infrastructure, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring the region’s position as a leading tourism destination.
This study underscores Horwath HTL’s expertise in delivering in-depth market intelligence and actionable strategies tailored to the needs of the hospitality sector.
