Project Scope

Horwath HTL Spain was commissioned to conduct an independent business review (IBR) for COFIDES Recapitalisation Fund, aimed at evaluating the financial health and operational performance of a company seeking recapitalisation. The project’s objective was to provide COFIDES with an impartial and comprehensive analysis to support informed decision-making regarding the company’s eligibility for funding.

Our review involved a detailed examination of the company’s financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow projections. We assessed key financial indicators such as liquidity, solvency, profitability, and debt levels to evaluate the company’s current financial position and its capacity to manage additional capital effectively.

In addition to the financial analysis, we conducted an operational review, focusing on the company’s business model, market positioning, and competitive environment. We examined the effectiveness of the company’s current strategies, management capabilities, and its ability to adapt to changing market conditions. This included a review of the sector’s performance trends and any external risks that could impact the company’s recovery and growth potential.

Our independent business review provided COFIDES with a clear and objective assessment of the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks. This analysis was essential in helping COFIDES determine whether the company was a suitable candidate for recapitalisation under the fund, ensuring that the financial support would be used effectively to drive long-term sustainability and recovery.
