Paul Breslin holds the position of Managing Director of Horwath HTL's Atlanta office.


Bio

He oversees a team of industry professionals engaged in the transformation of real estate opportunities into distinguished hotels that generate superior returns for stakeholders. Paul has accrued over four decades of experience in the hospitality industry, during which time he has gained extensive expertise in the management of full-service hotels in a number of locations, including the renowned Fontainebleau in South Florida, the Sheraton San Diego Resort, and the Sheraton New Orleans.

Paul is a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) and a highly esteemed figure in the industry, renowned for his exceptional leadership abilities and expertise in teaching. He held the position of Executive-in-Residence in Lodging at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality at Georgia State University, which is recognised as one of the top 25 hospitality programmes in the nation. Furthermore, he has provided training for senior executives through the Rixos Hotel Leadership Training Program at Sabanci University and has delivered numerous lectures at national hospitality conferences.

In addition to his consultancy and educational roles, Paul provides expert witness services in cases related to hospitality, including litigation, bankruptcy, real estate, franchising, employment, and personal injury. His expertise is sought after by both plaintiffs and defendants in complex legal matters.

Paul's contributions to the industry have been recognized with several accolades, including the "Most Valuable Volunteer Award" from the American Hotel & Lodging Association (2006) and repeated recognition as "Who’s Who in Hospitality" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle (2002-2006). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and an Associate of Arts & Science in Hotel, Motel & Restaurant Management from Paul Smith's College.

An active member of the hospitality community, Paul is affiliated with the International Society for Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) and the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA). He has held leadership roles in various organizations, including the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance (AHA), the Georgia Hotel and Lodging Association (GHLA), and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA). He continues to serve on the GHLA Governmental Affairs Council, advocating for industry issues with the Georgia legislature.
