Our Dublin office partnered with Fáilte Ireland, the National Tourism Development Authority, to develop a pioneering Accommodation Investment Strategy Toolkit. Designed to empower Local Authorities, the toolkit provides practical, data-driven resources to enhance accommodation supply and achieve tourism growth objectives.

To ensure its relevance and usability, we adopted a structured, collaborative approach. The first step was engaging with stakeholders, including Fáilte Ireland and Local Authorities, to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment. This dialogue uncovered the specific challenges faced by regions in addressing accommodation gaps and aligning with broader tourism strategies.

Our team then conducted in-depth research and data analysis, examining accommodation trends, market demand, and regional needs. This analysis provided critical insights into the unique dynamics of Ireland’s tourism sector and shaped the foundation of the toolkit.

With these insights, we designed a user-friendly and adaptable toolkit. Key components included analytical tools, decision-making frameworks, and examples of best practice. These resources were tailored to enable Local Authorities to make informed, strategic decisions about accommodation investment, balancing local opportunities with national growth objectives.

The toolkit was piloted with select Local Authorities, creating a feedback loop that allowed for refinement and enhancement. This iterative process ensured that the final product was robust, practical, and responsive to the diverse needs of Ireland’s tourism landscape.
