The project aimed to position the center as a premier destination for holistic wellness while offering a comprehensive family wellness experience in a serene natural setting.
The engagement began with a detailed market analysis, focusing on the growing global demand for wellness tourism and holistic retreats. The study highlighted Mount Kenya’s appeal as a pristine location for restorative experiences, combining breathtaking landscapes with opportunities for outdoor activities and cultural immersion. Insights into regional and international visitor trends were examined, with a particular focus on affluent travellers seeking exclusive and transformative wellness experiences.
Competitive benchmarking provided an evaluation of similar offerings in the region and internationally, identifying market gaps and potential differentiators. The findings emphasized the opportunity to create a holistic wellness center that caters to both individual well-being and family-oriented services, particularly through the inclusion of a dedicated children’s learning center with wellness-focused educational programming.
The feasibility analysis projected revenues, operating costs, and profitability for the center’s key components: the luxury hotel, private residences, and wellness programs. Financial modelling accounted for unique revenue streams such as wellness therapies, outdoor activities, and educational programs. The analysis also included scenarios to evaluate the impact of varying market conditions and operational strategies.
Horwath HTL’s strategic recommendations outlined the center’s positioning as a luxury wellness destination offering bespoke experiences for individuals and families. By leveraging Mount Kenya’s natural beauty and integrating innovative wellness and educational elements, the project was set to establish a distinctive niche in the global wellness market. The study provided a robust framework for development, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and market success.
