Arvydas Balciunas serves as Managing Director of Horwath HTL Lithuania, bringing over 28 years of expertise in the hospitality industry with a strong focus on strategic and operational excellence in the Baltics and international markets.
Arvydas’ expertise spans strategic planning, sales and marketing, revenue optimisation direction, hotel management and franchise contract negotiations, coordination of sales departments, and outsourcing solutions. His experience also includes serving as an expert witness in hospitality-related matters, further underscoring his comprehensive understanding of the industry. Hotel development, openings, branding, rebranding and conversions were a part of his successful hospitality experience. His strategic insight has proven invaluable in developing solutions that drive both operational efficiency and long-term success.
Prior to joining Horwath HTL, Arvydas worked with an international hotel chain in several countries within Eastern Europe mainly focussing on Revenue Development. He served as a General Manager of an independent hotel, a CEO of a pan – Baltic hotel chain as well as a Managing partner with a hotel management company – where he was instrumental in fostering the growth of outsourcing solutions in the hotel industry.
Arvydas has a degree in Philology from the Vilnius University, holds a professional certificate in Management from the Open University and a certificate programme in Franchising in the hospitality industry at Cornell University (USA). Extensive experience, academic background, and leadership have solidified his position as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the hospitality sector.
