Project Scope

Horwath HTL was engaged to assist with the selection of a hotel management company and provide a comprehensive review and support for contract documentation for a property in Medan, Indonesia. This project aimed to identify a management partner whose expertise, brand alignment, and operational approach would maximise the property’s performance and market positioning.

The engagement began with an in-depth analysis of the property’s market potential, operational requirements, and strategic objectives. Based on this, Horwath HTL developed a tailored selection framework to evaluate prospective management companies. The evaluation criteria included brand reputation, track record in similar markets, financial performance, and the ability to deliver on the client’s vision for the property.

Using our extensive industry network, we identified and approached a shortlist of reputable hotel management companies. The selection process involved a detailed review of each company’s proposals, operational standards, and brand positioning. Comprehensive due diligence was conducted to assess their suitability and alignment with the client’s goals.

Once the preferred management company was selected, Horwath HTL provided expert support in reviewing and negotiating the management contract. Particular focus was placed on key terms, such as fee structures, performance benchmarks, operational responsibilities, and marketing commitments. We ensured the agreement protected the client’s interests while fostering a collaborative partnership with the management company.

The project culminated in the successful selection of a management partner and the execution of a robust contract tailored to the property’s unique needs. Horwath HTL’s expertise ensured that the client was equipped with the optimal partnership to enhance operational efficiency, brand value, and market competitiveness for their property in Medan.
