Spencer Fan is a consultant at Horwath HTL Shanghai. She has successfully supported various projects related to market supply and demand analysis, financial projections and strategic recommendations for hotel development. Prior to joining Horwath HTL, Ms. Fan worked as an Operation Specialist with Fliggy, the travel division of Alibaba Group, and was responsible for evaluating hotel business performance, analyzing customer demands and providing solutions for hotel products’ development strategy. She also had experience in hotel operations with Conrad Hotel in Dalian, China. During her graduate study, Ms. Fan led a team to complete multiple projects in feasibility studies, hotel investment and valuation for different markets.

Ms. Fan graduated with a Master’s degree in Global Hospitality Business from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in partnerships with École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) and University of Houston – Conrad N. Hilton College. She holds a First Class Honors Bachelor’s degree in International Tourism Management from the University of Surrey in the UK and an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in China. In her spare time, Ms. Fan enjoys playing the violin, volunteering for international events and travelling around the world.
