Fernanda Olaez is Director of Market Research for Horwath HTL Mexico. She has participated in more than 300 market and feasibility studies. Past clients include AccorHotels, Aeromexico, City Express Hotels, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International, Nikko Hotels International, Real Tourism Group, Vista Hotels, and Wyndham Hotel Group.
In addition to conducting market research and providing advisory services for hotel investment projects, Fernanda oversees the data collection, integration, and preparation of Horwath HTL’s monthly Hotel Flash Report, which informs the hotel and investment communities of the occupancies, average daily rates and general performance of hotels in Mexico by category, size and region. She also publishes Horwath HTL’s Mexico Hotel Industry Report, an annual publication which statistically illustrates the operational and financial performance of Mexico’s primary destinations.
Previously, Fernanda was Manager of the Hotel Consulting Area at Horwath Castillo Miranda from 1996 to 2002. From 2002 to 2012 she worked as an Advisor at BDO México. She holds a graduate degree in Hotel Business Administration from the Universidad Panamericana de Hoteleria, and has worked as an adjunct professor at the Mexican School of Tourism.
