Siam Paragon Complex
Horwath HTL was engaged by Siam Paragon to form a consulting team to formulate the development master plan for a 20-acre city center site (former Siam InterContinental site). The resulting plan included an urban resort hotel (now the Siam Kempinski), festival retail and a cultural performing arts center.

Horwath HTL was engaged by Siam Paragon to assemble and lead a consulting team in formulating the development master plan for a prestigious 20-acre city center site, formerly home to the Siam InterContinental Hotel. The project aimed to transform the site into a dynamic mixed-use complex that would redefine luxury, culture, and urban living in Bangkok.
The master planning process began with an in-depth analysis of the site’s strategic location, its historical significance, and its potential to serve as a landmark development in the heart of the city. The team worked closely with stakeholders to conceptualize a plan that balanced commercial viability with cultural and aesthetic appeal.
The resulting plan integrated three core components. First, an urban resort hotel was envisioned to provide luxury accommodations and a serene retreat amidst the bustling cityscape. This vision materialized as the Siam Kempinski Hotel, which combines opulent design with a unique resort-like ambiance in an urban setting.
Second, the plan included a festival retail destination designed to attract both locals and international visitors. This component emphasized experiential retail, blending high-end shopping with dining and entertainment options to create a vibrant, all-encompassing lifestyle hub.
Third, a cultural performing arts center was incorporated to serve as a venue for arts and events, enhancing Bangkok’s cultural offerings and establishing the complex as a destination for creativity and community engagement.
Horwath HTL contributed market research, financial feasibility analysis, and strategic planning expertise to ensure each component was optimally positioned for success. The team also advised on design integration, infrastructure requirements, and phasing strategies to facilitate a seamless implementation of the development.
The Siam Paragon Complex master plan resulted in a landmark project that combines luxury hospitality, premier retail, and cultural enrichment. It exemplifies the potential of mixed-use developments to redefine urban landscapes and enhance the social and economic fabric of city centers.
