Marne-la-Vallée, France – Research and assistance of the project of relocation of Rolland Garros Stadium
Office: Horwath HTL France
Scope of Work: The French Federation of Tennis launched a tender to relocate the international tournament of Roland Garros in a larger site as the 8-hectare site situated in the south west of Paris (Porte d’Auteuil) is not well adapted to host such a large event.
Description of Project: Horwath HTL assisted the public development authority of Marne-la-Vallée in their bid to host the new stadium, the French Tennis Federation and the tournament. Horwath HTL designed a leisure and sport planning to keep the site attractive all year round.
Project Status: The FFT finally decided not to relocate the tournament due to incremental space granted by the City of Paris. Marne la Vallee was ranked as the best alternative.
