Luxury Hotel Spa, Japan
Scope of Work: Market Research & Feasibility, Concept Development
Project Overview: A global luxury hotel group engaged Horwath HTL Health and Wellness to evaluate a series of opportunities to create points of differentiation for a hotel spa with a predetermined location and facility layout. As the luxury spa market in Tokyo is well established and the area allocated for the spa cannot be changed, Horwath HTL Health and Wellness evaluated different value-adding features, facilities and services that would allow the spa facility to become competitive in the local market.
Horwath HTL Solution: Proposed to optimize the guest experience by transforming an existing double treatment room into a luxury spa suite, proposed a heat and thermal circuit with the latest technologies and unique design, and recommended a custom treatment philosophy that would deliver a personalized wellness experience. To capitalize on the strong spa and fitness membership market, Horwath HTL Health and Wellness suggested converting parts of the meeting facilities into a ‘members only’ lounge, allowing the spa facility to offer a competitive spa and fitness membership program.
Project Status: The project is currently in planning and is scheduled to open in 2020.
